Grind MPC offers basic sealing and concrete grinding on the Sunshine Coast. This service uses a 60-grit finish that makes machine marks on the floor aren’t visible. As the first stage in a 2-stage grinding and sealing process, basic grinding grinds the concrete down to the desired level of exposure. Once that level of exposure is met, we then move on to the second stage which is also called basic concrete sealing. In this stage, we fill the holes and cracks for a smoother finish.
There are levels of exposure one might consider for their flooring. There’s full exposure where the concrete stones are very visible, then there’s random exposure where patches of stones are either exposed fully or minimally, then minimal exposure where there’s very little stone visibility that can be noticed in the concrete flooring. Once you have decided on which level you want for your floor, we then flatten and smoothen the concrete floor.

The second stage of the 2-stage process is basic concrete sealing where we use a high-quality, clear, or coloured coating to protect the surface of your concrete floor. We apply the sealer so that the flooring is protected from water penetration and other materials that may stain the flooring like motor oils, wines, sauces, and the like.
For better maintenance of your concrete floor, we recommend that sealing be done every five years, especially in areas with high foot traffic.
